Praise

Prayer

Father, thank you in Jesus name for giving us this hope which endures.  Thank you for calling us by Your name, and giving us an inheritance in You.  Lord You alone are worthy of all praise, and I bless Your name.  It is only fitting that we live a life of praise and adoration continually.  It is by this perpetual sacrifice that we bring honor to You.  Teach us to only live a life that glorifies You. Hope

Prayer

Lord, great in mercy and compassionate in love, we know that without anything to hope in there would be nothing to believe.  Allow this hope in You to permeate our whole being so that we might grow in confidence in You.  Then let this confidence radiate to the world around us, that all may see Your awesome works and so glorify You in heaven.  In Jesus name.  Amen

Impossibly Possible

Exodus 13:17-18; 14:9-14

Prayer

Thank You Lord for taking a seemingly impossible situation and making it dramatically possible.  You are all powerful, all knowing, and ever present.  Your heart is awesome God!  Remind me Lord that when the impossible comes that it is to show Your power and majesty.  And then give me grace to trust You to fill Your purpose in it, that I might know You and the power of Your resurrection. Alone

Luke 5:16; 6:12; 10:38-42; 21:34-48

Prayer

Lord, thank You that You died for us, that we might have life in You.  Bless Your Holy name, for You were raised to life.  Let us then approach You with thankfulness in our hearts knowing that You live forever more.  Jesus, help me to draw away from time to time to renew in You.  You have all the provision for this life.  I wish to be effective for Your Kingdom work here on earth, and so I ask that You guide my heart to Your fount of living water, and away from the chaos of this world.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Pure in Heart

Prayer

Lord, I praise You.  Thank you for Your Words of truth and salvation that purify us.  You have done this that we might be partakers in your glory, and so have beautiful fellowship with You.  It is truly remarkable to think that You desire us.  So I ask that You purify my heart more and more that I might see you more and more.  Let all ungodliness and worldliness pass through my heart as sand falls through my fingers as I lift my hands to praise You.  In Jesus Name. Fear of the Lord

Prayer

Holy Father, everything we see is a profound statement of who You are.  O Lord, You surely uphold all things by the Word of Your power.  And by it all things continue as it is this day.  Teach us God, this day to hold Your Word in deep reverence above everything else in this world.  For by it we are instructed, taught, helped, and kept.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Deepest Need

Matthew 5:3,6; Revelation 3:17-19

Prayer

Lord, I fully recognize my deepest need for more of You and less of me.  I understand that it is the hungry souls that You will cater to.  You will surely feed us.  So Lord, here I am an empty vessel in need of You.  So I ask, pour yourself into me that all I am will become all that You are.  I am certainly not my own.  Your will be done. In Jesus Name. Amen.

His Divine Power

John 1:12; 2 Peter 1:3-11

Lord, You have certainly called me to a Holy calling through Your Word.  Help me to walk in a manner that draws from everything You have provided for me in Christ.  The Scriptures say that You by Your divine power have granted me everything I need to live a godly life.  Show me Lord to appropriate that into the life You have given me more and more each day.  In Jesus name. Amen

Measure Of Faith

Romans 12:1-8; Ephesians 4:7-16

Prayer:

          Lord, I know that You have a specific plan for my life.  And that to each person You have assigned a measure of faith; this is in accordance with Your plan for my life.  Because of this Lord, show me what my measure of faith is, and show it to me in Your Word so that I can serve You acceptably.  Praise You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen.

His Voice

John 10:1-10; 1 John 4:6

Prayer:

          Lord, I read in Your word and understand that Your sheep are born again Christians who hear Your voice.  By Your voice You lead us out into green pastures where You can feed us so that we might grow strong in You.  This growth also causes us to walk in the abundant life You promised.  Because of this I understand that there is opposition that will try to keep me from following You.  Teach me to then hear and obey Your voice above the voice of the enemy so that I would be effective in following You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Grace In Need

Romans 5:1-5; Ephesians 4:12; Hebrews 4:11-16

Prayer:

          Lord, I am weak but You are strong.  In my pursuit of You there are things that try to oppose what you are doing in my heart.  Let me then believe more in Your power to save than in my weakness to fail.  It is in the justification that You provided that I have peace with God, and confidence to approach Your throne.  So today, I boldly approach Your throne to receive grace to help in my time of need.  This is when I cannot go on, that You O Lord carry me.  You are worthy Lord.

Teach Me To Pray

Luke 11:5-13; Matthew 6:7-12

Prayer:

        Lord, help me to apply persistence in my prayers, that I might come to You boldly and unashamed equipped with Your Word.  Also, teach me to pray according to Your will.  Not my will, but Yours Lord.  When I ask I want to receive that You would be glorified.  Allow me to love what You love Father.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Set My Affections

Psalm 42:1-2, 63:1-5, and 91:14-16

Prayer:

          Lord, teach me to set my affections on You; that You O God would reign as King Supreme on the throne in my heart forever and ever.  You rightly deserve first place Lord.  Teach me to surrender my all.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
